Baron Machine Company Achieves Registration To
The Aerospace Standard (AS9100)
Baron Machine Company, with more than 50 years experience in
custom manufacturing, announced that its Quality Management
System has achieved AS9100B registration by National Quality
Assurance USA, Inc. of Acton, MA.
AS9100B is an internationally recognized aerospace quality
system standard awarded to companies dedicated to providing
excellent customer service and outstanding product quality.
After extensive research, including their current customer base
and potential new markets, AS9100 was selected as the
International Standard to use as their guide. Baron Machine
hopes that customers from all industries will recognize that by
this effort, the Baron Management Team is putting quality at the
forefront while continuing to provide competitive pricing and
first class delivery to all customers.
Baron Machine, using a wide range of metal and plastic
materials, specializes in machining, welding, fabrications and
assemblies for the commercial, medical and aerospace industries.
Quality Systems Update - AS9100B
Baron Machine has recently improved Quality Management Systems (QMS) and made a strategic decision to meet the requirements of AS9100B. This will result in Third Party Registration to AS9100B in the 1st Quarter of 2009. Currently, the Quality Management System (QMS) has procedures developed to satisfy more than 50% of the Quality Systems requirements of AS9100B. Key systems fully functional at this time are: Quality Manual & Policy, Document Creation and Change, Control of Documents & Records, Configuration Management, Supplier Quality, Raw Material Control, Workmanship Standards, Calibration, Discrepant Material Control, First Article Inspection, Inspection Documentation and Others. Action is being taken to complete the development and implementation by end of the 4th Quarter, 2008 and prepare for Third Party Registration. Interested Aerospace Customers are invited to inquire and review Baron's progress toward AS9100B Registration.
 Doosan HP5500
After several weeks of research, Baron Machine purchased a Doosan HP5500 Twin Pallet Horizontal Machining Center to support current and future business. It's due to arrive in early June, and should be operational by the first of July.
We're a Growing Company
Five new people have been added to the manufacturing team this month, three in the welding department, and two in machining to increase throughput in those areas and reduce our delivery lead time to our customers.
Efforts to Go Green
Baron Machine is going Green! Thanks to the initiative of Vicky, Carolyn, and Sue, a program has been set-up to recycle all paper waste generated in the company.
